Musings of a CPA in Burbank: My App is Now on ITunes App Store As Well As Google Play!

Hey everyone, the business application for Brian T. Stoner, CPA, which was available for android on Google Play last week (thanks, Jimena and the design team, everything looks great!)  is also on ITunes App Store. For a while I was always a little annoyed that to access my website on my phone I had to google my name or go into my contact list.  Now with this app I push the app button and can access my blog, my contact info, jump to my website, media page, location map and my social media sites quickly and easily! Click on this link with your Iphone or Ipad for the free download: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/briantstoner/id810483959?ls=1&mt=8 You can get the free download on Google Play by clicking this link with your phone: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.app_briantstoner.layout&hl=en I think it will make it easier for people to get in touch with me and see more information about my services.  It isn’ t that expensive to maintain and really looks great.   Sometimes technology can be so cool.  (If you want to talk to the lady who put this all together for me, email Jimena Cortez at WizardMedia, LLC: info@wizardmedia.net  Website:  www.wizardmedia.net )    For financial,  accounting and tax musings, You can [...]

CPA Marketing Musings: Accounting Firms Should Launch Content with a Laser, Not a Catapult

Hey, if you are trying to get people to notice you, make sure your firm doesn’t shout a huge broad message that makes you generic: http://www.accountingtoday.com/news/Launch-Content-Laser-Not-Catapult-69512-1.html It is better most of the time to find a niche for your company, then target your marketing laser-like to get the people interested in your specialties.  Use a light hose, not a bucket to send branding to your target.  Your marketing should accentuate your differences from other firms so people remember you.      For financial,  accounting and tax musings, You can count on us to count for you! Tax Musings of a CPA: Four Ways to Get IRS Tax Forms

Hey, at this time of year, your business may need to prepare W2s, 1099s and possible simple income tax returns for your kids or relatives.  You can get a preparer to file these items, or you can do it yourself.  While I recommend the former and not the latter, if you have decided to do the deed on your own, you can get various federal tax forms in a number of ways.  See this IRS posting on four ways to get the forms: http://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/USIRS/bulletins/a336d7?reqfrom=share Just keep in mind that if you mess up these filings to save money, you are risking getting a bunch of letters from the IRS that might make you think twice about doing this again.  Then again, maybe not.  Also remember that you are probably going to have to file some state forms, too – don’t forget about them.  I guess there is no way to tell how big a disaster this year was until you have to decide about this same time next year.      For financial,  accounting and tax musings, You can count on us to count for you!
