Let’s talk today about airline and travel cards.  You redeem ‘miles’ (usually one mile per dollar spent, although some cards are more generous) for free airline tickets, travel, etc.  Usually 100 miles equals 1 dollar in savings (1%) but some have special bonuses like the cash back cards.  Some have introductory interest rates  and most will waive the first annual fee ($75 – $400 depending on the card).  I usually like the cash back cards better but these can be useful too.  Here is a link to compare:http://www.creditcards.com/airline-miles.php

I will talk today about ‘cash back” credit cards for individuals.  You usually get some cash back bonus when you sign up – say $100 cash if you make $500 in purchases or $500 if you make $1500 in purchases in the first 3 months.  Usually after that most cash back is 1% of purchases, although some cards have special items that pay back more.  Most have an introductory 6 or 12 month interest rate of 0%, then it varies.  Many have no annual fee.  Here is a link to look and compare some popular cash back cards:http://www.creditcards.com/cash-back.phpTomorrow I will look at airline cards.
