If you bought a house in 2011, you need to remember to bring the settlement statement from the house to your tax preparer. That will allow them to calculate your tax basis in the house, see if there are any points or proeprty taxes to deduct, plus other possibly important information. Also remember to bring your property tax payments and interest form 1098 (if you have taxes impounded the 1098 will cover both.)
