Guess what; the California Legistature will enact a budget by today that is balanced by assuming the tax propositions on the November ballot supported by Governor Brown get passed. It doesn’t look so good for them now. See this article about it by Dan Walters in The Sacrament Bee:http://www.sacbee.com/2012/06/12/4554856/dan-walters-brown-tax-plan-looks.htmlSo if they don’t pass, does that mean we don’t have a budget? Of course not; they will balance it with their other smoke and mirrors. Remember, You can count on us to count for you!
It is California Budget Manipulation (er…Balancing) Time Again
Well June 15 is looming and it is time for the California Legislature to pass some kind of budget (again). Remember last year when they passed an unbalanced budget, GOvernor Brown vetsed it and the State Treasurer didn’t pay the legislators, who then got a court decree saying if they pass something by June 15, their pay acn’t be cut. Well time again for the show. An aritcle by Dan Walters in the Sacrament Bee discuss the shell game that happens every year at this time:http://www.sacbee.com/2012/06/08/4546994/dan-walters-what-kind-of-california.htmlI wonder what they will think up this year? Like a new round of taxes?Remember, You can count on us to count for you!
