If you have kids and didn’t earn a whole lot last year you may qualify for the earned income credit. It is refundable and could get you some money back. Sorry for not blogging yesterday. Thngs got out of hand the last few days and couldn’t get to it.Now let’s talk some more tax credits.If you have to pay for child care or afterschool programs for your kids and you are head of household or married filing jointly and both spouses work, you can qualify for the Child and Dependent Care Credit. It can range from 20% to 35% of the care depending on income. You will need the caregiver’s name, address, telephone number and either federal ID number or social security number for your return to claim the credit.
