Those Intuit ads for TurboTax that criticize H & R Block preparers as working as plumbers and salesmen in the off season will continue (I personally don’t think very much of them either, although H & R Block ads don’t really excite me either.) It is kind of ironic that Intuit also makes my tax software, Lacerte, which is TurboTax with about a thousand enhancements and diagnostics. It is also funny that last year H & R Block ran a series of commercials trashing TurboTax, showing a sandwich maker complaining about filling out TurboTax questionaires (not actually named in the commercial of course) and hoping for the best.
