My tax musings today discuss sales taxes. Remember that starting September 15, 2012 Amazon will start collecting sales taxes in California. Here is an article by Marc Lifsher, Andrea Chang and Ricardo Lopez in the Los Angeles Times talking about other online retailers’ war with the state:

Looks like we won’t have to claim as much use tax on our state income tax returns now (ha ha).
